Southstar Creative is a sister team of design specialists with projects that range from digital design to fine art….but how did it all coalesce?  The creation of stars is a curious thing.   A star is formed when atoms of light elements are crammed under enough pressure for their nuclei to undergo a fusion. The long lasting brilliance of stars is the result of balanced forces.   

Pressures have taken many different forms over the years. Growing up, we felt a bit mismatched with our surroundings.   Some expectations of excellence, whether on the soccer field, in school, in the workforce or at home, seemed unattainable.  Discrimination, both backhanded and blatant, tried to hinder our progress.  Plus, our hometown felt like an innovation desert that left most creatives, especially us, thirsting for something more. All of these pressures helped refine our vision, define our purpose and ultimately birthed Southstar Creative. 

Through all of the obstacles of life and business, what keeps us centered?   What is our nucleus?  At the core of everything we are and everything we do, is our faith and strong family connections.  Our parents set our trajectory for the stars from the beginning!   The simple truth, “You guys are not average, so don’t act like it!” was written on our hearts and resonated like an echo in an empty hall.  However, every family value that we treasure, every ability that we exercise, and every opportunity that we’ve been able to benefit from, has been a gift from God.  It was always His plan to make us sis-stars, in life and now in business.
